Ian Moody switched from Westpac to BNZ to take up the head of brand role in early November last year, which made for a fairly difficult acceptance speech when he was named as marketer of the year while between jobs. And he has resigned just a few months in to the new job due to what external relations manager Emily Davies calls "personal reasons".
"In the short time Ian has been with us he has played a significant role in the consolidation of BNZ's new branding campaign," says Davies. "Internally and externally he has been a tireless advocate for our brand values in an intensely competitive commercial environment.We wish Ian all the best for the future."
Davies says the search for a replacement has already begun and an announcement will be made in due course.
