Shelley Venning has been announced as the new The Breeze Wellington morning host, to replace Kath Bier.
Bier, who is leaving to become a Church leader, finishes up on air this Friday.
Venning, who has been a Wellingtonian for over 20 years, starts in her new role alongside fellow co-host Steve Joll next Monday.
Venning says: “When this position came up I thought, ‘this is my dream job!’ Steve and I were in competition a long time ago and I’m excited to now work with him on a fantastic station in the city I love.
“I’m already singing along to The Breeze and being smack in the middle of the target market I feel like I have tons in common with the listeners and with Steve!”
Venning has previously worked for Radio New Zealand and Wellington’s Classic Hits in the early 2000s.
