Sally Falconer appointed TVNZ’s GM of marketing and communication

Sally Falconer has joined TVNZ in a permanent position as general manager of marketing and communications. She’s previously worked for the company in a contract role as media and communications strategist.

Falconer joins Sarah Finnie, general manager of Blacksand and Caroline Izzard, general manager of data and insights, all reporting to marketing director Jonathan Symons.

In her new role, Falconer’s focus will be to drive and engage audiences across all TVNZ channels and platforms. She will lead the delivery of integrated campaigns and communications through TVNZ’s marketing, publicity, media, social and direct marketing teams.

Symons says Falconer has a long association with TVNZ.

“Sally and TVNZ go way back through our media agency Starcom. We’ve always admired and valued her work and we’re delighted she’s joining our team. Sally brings a wealth of both media and wider industry experience, combined with fantastic industry relationships, which will be a real asset in this critical role.”

Falconer was with Starcom between 2006-2017. After leaving her role as its general manager, she took up various contract roles.
