New sales director at Perion

Perion has appointed Lauren Martinus as sales director, New Zealand.

The appointment reflects Perion’s focus on the APAC region and as it expands its footprint in the fast-growing programmatic DOOH (pDOOH) space.

Martinus brings more than eight years’ experience across agency and media supplier roles, with a strong focus on digital and programmatic.

Compelling channels

“OOH and digital have always been the most compelling channels for me,” says Martinus. “This naturally led me into programmatic working for a local digital display supplier for over four years.

“When the opportunity came up to work within pDOOH, it was something I couldn’t pass up. Joining a local team for a leading adtech company in such a fast-growing space, what’s not to be excited about?”

Perion’s head of sales for New Zealand, Ash Houghton, says: “Lauren joins at an incredibly exciting time for our New Zealand business. We’ve built strong momentum, and her experience across both agency and supplier environments will be invaluable as we continue to grow and deepen our partnerships across the market.”

Martinus adds: “Ash has built a solid foundation, and I’m excited to build on that, identifying new opportunities and continuing to strengthen our presence across the market.”

Pace of innovation

Martinus says the pace of innovation within the business was a key draw: “The business is evolving incredibly quickly. We’re constantly innovating across our products and technology, including expanding into AI-powered solutions, which is opening up new possibilities for brands and agencies.

“As more clients look to leverage the flexibility, targeting and measurement that programmatic enables, there’s still huge headroom. It’s an exciting time for the channel.”

She adds that her approach is grounded in partnership, working to understand what agencies and clients need in order to deliver real value.

Outside of work, Martinus has picked up an unexpected passion.

“I’m a bit of a golf girl,” she says. “I only started playing a couple of years ago and I’m completely hooked… although I’m still chasing sub-100.”
