Murray Streets joins BC&F Dentsu as managing director

BC&F Dentsu has a new leader in Murray Streets who has been appointed managing director.

Streets joins BC&F Dentsu from FCB where he was general manager – integrated strategy, and is taking over the reins from founder and chief executive Paul Catmur, who will stay on to be involved with creative output for the agency.

Streets will work closely with Luke Farmer who will continue in his role as managing partner, and founder and partner, Daniel Barnes.

In 2017, Barnes stepped out of the chief executive role, making room for Catmur to step up from chief executive creative director to chief executive.

Catmur says with Streets’ arrival, he will continue to be closely involved in the creative output of BC&F Dentsu, adding he looks forward to having more time to work on writing projects which have been on hold for the last ten years.

“I only hope I can remember where I’d got to.”

About his new role, Streets says his focus will be on developing an agency model for the future, integrating the many talents to create distinctive work that builds clients’ brands and businesses.

Streets began his career at Publicis in London before joining Saatchi & Saatchi NZ as senior strategic planner on Telecom. In his time at the agency, he held both director of strategy and general manager roles.

Streets will join the agency in March.

In other movement news, BC&F Dentsu has welcomed back head of media Monica Wales from maternity leave.
