Beauty in mind

Mindfood has appointed Liz Hancock as its new beauty director. The publication is doubling the size of its beauty content beginning with the November edition.

Hancock, a Kiwi, studied fashion journalism at London College of Fashion and went on to work for You magazine. She has also previously spent seven years as beauty editor of i-D magazine and was grooming editor of 10+ Men. Hancock has also contributed several features to British Vogue and spent some time as acting beauty editor and later acting ‘Spirit’ editor, covering wellbeing and sustainability.

Frey gets thick with Thieves

Filmmaker Christopher Frey has joined Thick as Thieves for commercial representation. His short film Explosions was a recent staff pick on Vimeo, where it got more than 100,000 views.

“Chris’s film is pure cinema – he is a remarkable new talent and part of the new wave of filmmakers boldly crossing technical and aesthetic boundaries normally unaccessible to new directors,” says Thick as Thieves EP Nik Beachman.
