All Blacks captain Scott Barrett stars in Lightforce Solar and YoungShand’s latest chapter
Kiwi sustainable energy provider Lightforce Solar has launched the next chapter of its “The Future is Obvious” brand platform with independent agency YoungShand.
After launching with global rugby star Beauden Barrett in April, his brother and All Blacks captain Scott Barrett now takes over to highlight the obvious solution to power shortages and rising bills – the sun.
“The campaign has been well received, brand awareness is on the rise, and sales are up by almost 100%,” says John Harman, CEO of Lightforce Solar.
“Our goal has always been to show national leadership in sustainable power, so it’s only natural we align with a true national leader in Scott – who shares our values, cares about his country and walks the walk – with Lightforce Solar installed at his Christchurch home.
“While others believe tax payers should be funding speculative investments in oil and gas exploration, we’re investing more in providing a real option for home owners, to both lower their energy costs and provide backup and resilience options when serious weather events strike. This is important and we are championing what we believe is an obvious solution to the current energy crisis,” Harman adds.
Success worth copying
“Working with All Blacks is always a privilege and it’s been no different working with Beaudy and now Scott, “ says YoungShand’s CCO Corey Chalmers.
“They’ve been good sports, leaning into the dry, matter of fact and very Kiwi nature of the campaign, which is giving people the smiles and driving quality leads, too.”
Lightforce Solar head of marketing Lyle Hastings adds, “The platform is taking off as we expand both domestic and commercial operations across New Zealand.”
Beauden and Scott’s dad, Kevin, also features in the campaign, with his Taranaki farm now using Lightforce Solar.
“The whole Barrett family is behind this because they can see the obvious sustainable solution that solar provides,” says Hastings.
The campaign continues in broadcast TV, video on demand, online video, radio, digital billboards, social and display.
