Sponsors congratulate YouTube NZ Marketing Awards 2024 finalists

Warm messages of congratulations are coming in for finalists in the prestigious YouTube NZ Marketing Awards 2024, whose names were announced yesterday afternoon.

The list was revealed on Monday after the first round of judging. A second round will be held before the winners are announced at awards night on September 4 – a hot date in the marketing calendar.

Gold sponsors oOh!media, Stuff and TRA support major categories in the awards.

oOh!media, long-time proud sponsor of Marketer of the Year, was among the first to cheer on the finalists.

“A massive congratulations to Anna Tompkins, Fee Cortis, Frankie Coulter, James Kyd, Katie Mills, Luke Rive and Sarah Williams. To be recognised as a marketer at this level requires not only exceptional creativity and strategic thinking, but also a huge amount of dedication. To keep pushing boundaries and adapting to our ever-changing industry sets a high bar for us all and show what true excellence looks like,” said Mark Banbrook, National Sales Director, oOh!media NZ.

Stuff sponsors of Marketing Team of the Year. Blunt, Goodman Fielder, My Food Bag, Pak’nSave, Restaurant Brands – KFC NZ and Woolworths Group are the finalists in this category.

And from new sponsor TRA: “Congratulations to all finalists and a special note of congratulations to Brand of the Year finalists. Building a brand of the year takes guts, smarts and the ability to read minds…skills you have in spades. We can’t wait to see everyone on awards night in September. Good luck to the teams at 2degrees, ANZ Bank New Zealand, McDonald’s NZ, Pak’nSave and Restaurant Brands.”

‘Outstanding’ entries

This year, YouTube NZ Marketing Awards judging is led by Michael Friedberg, CEO of SwayTech. He says his team was expanded this year in line with the record number of entries.

“To reflect the increase in the number of entries, this year also saw a 10% increase in the number of judges from 2023, with over 170 judges participating across round 1 and round 2 judging,” he said.

“The clarity in articulation and the depth of insights in the entries were outstanding. The heightened quality made our job simpler, reflecting the excellence within New Zealand’s marketing industry. It’s heartening to witness such exceptional examples of marketing driving business outcomes in these challenging times.”
