Ogilvy Wellington’s 12 annoying days of Christmas takes ORCA crown

Following up from a win in August for Consumer NZ, Ogilvy Wellington duo Nigel Richardson and Steve Cooper have taken the November ORCA with their ‘Silly Season’ ad for Consumer NZ.

Judges—David Bell (advertising maestro), Trevor Plant (AUT) and Rory McKechnie (DDB)—commended the well-produced script and performances, describing it as “clever, funny and nicely focused”.

And staying in Wellington, a merit was also awarded to Clemenger BBDO’s Brigid Alkema and Mitch Alison, for their NZTA Radio Legends campaign.

Both teams now go through to the Grande ORCAs to compete for the trips to the Cannes Lions and cash prizes. Richardson and Cooper also get to host the stunning ORCA trophy again and receive $500, certificates and a $5,000 radio schedule for Consumer NZ.
