Electrolux Vacuums NZ and Filip introduce the Pure i9 robotic vacuum

Electrolux Vacuums NZ has brought back its fanboy Filip to promote the new Pure i9 robotic vacuum.

Filip, a Swedish character played by Stockholm native Peter Nitchk, commentates the vacuum’s movement around his house and watches in awe as it zooms by.

He also talks about the best components of Pure i9, such as being programmed and controlled by an app and how it learns your floor layout.

Daniel Piper at SME Marketing assembled the team for the campaign, calling on creative directors Guy Johnson and Phil Parsonage. The TVC was then produced by Sam McCauley at Flying Start and directed by Chris Clark.

It’s the same team that delivered the first of the Filip ads, when Electrolux introduced him to fanboy over its vacuum range to demonstrate its strength and a detachable handheld unit.

Last year’s campaign was the first time in six years that the brand had been on local TV.
