Aotearoa Independent Media Agencies welcomes new partner LiveRem
Aotearoa Independent Media Agencies has announced a new partnership with LiveRem, a real-time salary benchmarking and people insights platform.
The partnership gives AIMA member agencies immediate access to LiveRem’s platform, equipping leaders with workforce intelligence to help with staff recruitment and retainment.
AIMA CEO Simon Teagle says it reflects the association’s commitment to ensuring its members have access to the best tools available.
“Independent agencies are some of the most innovative and entrepreneurial businesses in New Zealand,” says Teagle. “They’re often juggling growth, client demands, hiring, retention, and profitability all at once. LiveRem gives our members the data they need to make pay decisions with confidence.”
Always-on insights
Unlike traditional salary surveys that are often months out of date and expensive to participate in, LiveRem connects directly to payroll and HR systems to deliver always-on market insights. Leaders can benchmark salaries, understand turnover trends, track gender pay gaps, and make confident remuneration decisions using current data rather than relying on static annual reports.
LiveRem founder Kathleen Webber says the independent agency sector represents exactly the kind of business the platform was designed to serve.
“What makes us different is that we focus on real-time data, simplicity, and accessibility,” says Webber. “We believe every business should have access to the kind of workforce intelligence that drives great people decisions. The creative and media sectors are built on people. Helping independent agencies compete for and retain the best talent ultimately strengthens the entire industry.”
Webber points to data as the defining competitive advantage for agencies over the next few years. “Many organisations are still relying on annual salary reviews, historical survey data, or gut feel when making decisions about pay and talent,” she explains.
“The market is moving too quickly for that approach. The agencies that will thrive are the ones that combine creativity with data. Understanding how competitive your remuneration is, where retention risks exist, and how your workforce is changing gives leaders the confidence to act before small issues become expensive problems. Data doesn’t replace good leadership, it helps leaders make better decisions, faster.”
