Air New Zealand builds on 'Where to next?' platform

Gin Wigmore's rendition of ‘Tomorrow’ from the musical Annie again serves as the backtrack as Air New Zealand builds on its 'Where to next?' long-term brand platform.

Much like the original spot, released in 2015, the new clip again features travel snippets in various locations, tied together by the Air New Zealand brand and staff.

  

At the time of the launch of the new platform, Air New Zealand general manager of global brand and content marketing Jodi Williams said that the new platform, developed by True, would be in the market for several years.

Williams told StopPress the airline spent a lot of time talking to consumers before arriving at ‘Where to next?’ as the strategic platform for the campaign.

“It perfectly summed up what we have done as a business in the past, but more so it provides us with something aspirational as we look forward to the future,” she says. “We too, as an airline are always asking where to from here and what is possible for Air New Zealand and its people and our nation.”

The new spot comes during what has been a busy promotional year for the airline, with the release of a new safety video, the introduction of Dave the Goose and Pete the Kiwi, and a range of other promotional work.
