UnLtd announces first industry partners in Aotearoa

Social purpose organisation for media, marketing and creative industry in New Zealand, UnLtd, has announced several foundational industry partners who will help UnLtd drive awareness and funds for young Kiwis at risk.

Tiffany Damm, Commercial Director of UnLtd ANZ, says she is overwhelmed with the positive response from the New Zealand industry and is grateful to the companies for taking a leap of faith to join their mission of helping young New Zealanders have the best opportunity in life.

“Thank you for believing in our mission. We can’t wait to get started working together in 2023 to make a huge positive impact.”

The new partners include Commercial Communications Council, Dave Clark, Dentsu Aegis Network, GroupM and its agencies Mediacom, Mindshare and Wavemaker; Hoyts, IAB New Zealand, iMedia, JCDecaux, LUMO Digital Outdoor, Mediaworks, Meta, OMG NZ and its agencies – OMD, PHD and Hearts & Science; oOh!media, Reel Factory, Stuff, Val Morgan, Vistar Media, Warner Bros. Discovery and Yahoo.

Rob Harvey, CEO of dentsu Aotearoa and President at Commercial Communications Council says: “We are excited to be the launch partners for UnLtd in Aotearoa and to be able to use our skills and influence for good. There is so much talent and passion to change the world in our industry and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve for young Kiwis at risk through UnLtd. I encourage everyone in the industry, whether you’re an agency, media owner, client side or a freelancer to get involved with UnLtd.”

Scott Keddie, Chief Investment Officer OMG NZ adds: “OMG New Zealand and its agencies OMD, PHD and Hearts & Science are thrilled to support UnLtd and the three amazing NZ based charities that will be supported in 2023. The opportunity to come together as an industry to support some of the key issues facing our community was something that collectively we agreed was an amazing initiative. UnLtd has been hugely successful in Australia, and we are confident this will also be the case for the NZ market with support from agencies, media partners and advertisers alike.”

UnLtd launched in New Zealand earlier in the year with the appointment of Brendan Muller as the General Manager NZ. Under the leadership of Muller, UnLtd is bringing the industry together to support three local charities helping young Kiwis at risk – Voices of HopeThe Kindness Collective and Springboard.

The launch partners will be supporting UnLtd through campaign creation and media inventory for its charity partners, volunteering and fundraising events.

Muller also says the support from the industry has been overwhelming and it is “fantastic” to see so many companies wanting to use their skills for good.

”We are also looking forward to bringing the industry together for some healthy competition and sports in the new year whilst raising much needed funds for young Kiwis at risk. If you would like to get involved please give me a shout.”

The first UnLtd industry event will be the Big Clash cricket event on March 2, 2023 in Auckland. The event will see men and women compete, with the media and tech owners uniting to take on the agencies on the cricket pitch, and plenty of entertainment for players and spectators alike.
