The Warehouse celebrates all Kiwiana Christmases

Kiwis have a special way of celebrating Christmas, from picnics on the beach under the Pohutukawa trees to lazy days at the bach spent eating a massive amount at lunch and being asleep by two in the afternoon. The Warehouse’s latest Christmas campaign highlights that no matter the type of day you’ll be having, it has Kiwis covered.

Created by DDB and titled ‘The one place for any Christmas’, the campaign highlights a whole range of different Kiwi Christmas that take place on our shores. There is a lot of strong diversity in the ad which reflects our communities as the Warehouse promotes itself as the go-to during the season.

Christmas’ is full of funky traditions that differ greatly from family to family. Damon Stapleton, regional chief creative officer DDB Australia & New Zealand, says they wanted to move away from the typical Christmas stereotypes and create a campaign that realistically represents the diversity in our country.

The Warehouse general manager of marketing Anna Lawrence says that The Warehouse’s cheerful new Christmas campaign captures the spirit of the season, demonstrating how The Warehouse is the one store that can bring all Christmases to life.

“We wanted to highlight some of the many ways people see Christmas here in New Zealand and celebrate the diversity that makes us who we are… We’re proud to be seen as the one-stop-shop for Kiwis holiday needs, and to be part of the celebration of our differences during the Christmas season,”
