Lurpak butter is a brand that has perfected the art of food porn with a range of mouthwatering recent ads. And Marks & Spencer, no stranger to the art itself, has continued that fine tradition with its latest campaign, ‘Adventures in Imagination’, by RKCR/Y&R. 

M&S’s Not Just Any basically started the genre (and Nigella Lawson was obviously inspired by it). As Ad Age writes

“Honey-toned actress Dervla Kirwan described ingredients as if she were coaxing the viewer into bed, to a smoky soundtrack and with (highly suggestive) photography of oozing sauces and moist centers. The ads’ semi-erotic style was hugely parodied across the U.K​.” 

And here are some other ads that made us yearn for a sausage roll.

And it may not be food porn, but it is food used to describe the difference between real sex and porn sex.
