This ‘super-ad’ can be used to sell anything

Cossette has an amusing new approach to creating engaging adverts.

In an online video, the chief creative officers explain how tightening deadlines and budgets have led the agency to find a one-size-fits-all approach to advertising.

The bleak result is a TVC in which a wife and husband sit on opposite ends of their couch and find the solution to a bad Monday in whatever product needs to be sold.

“Someone’s got a case of the Mondays,” says the wife.

“It’s not Monday it’s these damn printer cartridges/ weak bones/ you’re cheating one me,” says the husband in several different scenarios.

“Sounds like you could use a HP laser ink printer/ calcium milk/ a new wife,” she replies, equally as deadpan.

There are some pretty interesting products that can be marketed this way, all that’s needed is some clever camera angles and a pillow over the husband’s mouth to mask the new lines—in terrible computer voices.

The clip was made for an Agency of the Year event, which has a tradition of poking fun at the industry with videos.
