NZ creatives on D&AD judging panel

Three New Zealand creatives have been named on this year’s D&AD judging panel, with a further 14 creatives from Australia firmly cementing the southern hemisphere’s presence at the awards.

Colenso BBDO creative director Maria Devereux has been announced as a judge on the experiential jury for the awards – which will take place in London in May 2019.

Beth O’Brien, creative group head at Colenso BBDO and a 2018 D&AD judge, says being part of D&AD is a special experience for a creative.

“It’s an environment full of uniquely talented brains, coupled with the enthusiasm and drive to match.”

Devereux says she is looking forward to the challenge judging will pose.

“To be asked to judge is an absolute honour and I look forward to being inspired by the wonderful work and people D&AD naturally attracts.”

Designworks executive creative director Jef Wong has been named on the branding jury, while DDB New Zealand creative director Brett Colliver has been named as a direct jury judge.

The D&AD Awards will take place on the final day of the three-day D&AD Festival, which runs on 21-23 May 2019 at The Old Truman Brewery, London.
