Starcom adds Bay Audiology to its roster

Starcom New Zealand has won the Amplifon New Zealand media account for Bay Audiology, following a competitive pitch late last year.

StopPress understands there were two other agencies involved in the pitch, which has seen the account move from incumbent agency Vizeum.

On 1 January, Starcom started the take over of all of Bay Audiology's above-the-line activity and will pick up all SEM activity from March.

Amplifon marketing director Jacqueline Tibbotts says Starcom delivered a strong strategic response to the brief and the team demonstrated a great alignment to Bay Audiology’s core values.

Starcom New Zealand managing director Jason Theodore added that throughout the whole process from the pitch to on-boarding, Tibbotts and her team have been a pleasure to work with.

"Our ‘Human Experience’ approach to communication matched their belief in empowering people to reconnect with the world around them. We look forward to continuing to successfully grow Amplifon’s businesses in New Zealand.”

The pitch followed Amplifon’s success at the 2017 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards, which saw the Bay Audiology team win Best Brand Transformation for the ‘Emotional Hearing Test’ campaign via Saatchi & Saatchi.

The campaign went on to win four Effie Awards, including three golds.
