Stanley St has put a focus on local talent acquisitions. It’s introducing five new roles into its Wellington office, including Aaron White as head of Stanley St Wellington.
The appointments bring the team to a size of 20 employees.
The new roles span several areas including agency leadership, planning, creative, design, media and client service as the agency moves towards local independence and its desire to retain talent and profit New Zealand.
The new roles include the likes of communication specialist Suzy O’Connell in the role of senior account director, and Lizzie Baird who will be helping to drive the creative output in her role as senior copywriter.
Alongside this, Stanley St also welcomes in Nathan Chambers, the group’s long-serving head of design, a former Wellingtonian, and Clare Warne, bringing in her extensive knowledge to become the head of digital transformation across the group.
Lastly comes the appointment of White, who joins the group as head of Stanley St Wellington.
White brings with him a wealth of experience in leading change-focused business strategy across the largely Government focused Wellington market. As a former general manager of M&C Saatchi, Aim Proximity and Stanley St’s former namesake, Ogilvy NZ, White’s experience will be critical in expanding Stanley St’s Wellington offer, and with this, the value it adds to their Wellington-based clients.
“I am massively excited to be part of the agency group’s plan to create a compelling offering, focused specifically on the Wellington market,’ says White. “Our Wellington-based clients have very unique challenges and objectives; our response to delivering against these needs is a strong on the ground team, with local knowledge and full-service capabilities.
“Stanley St Wellington will be a true reflection of the agency’s commitment to local. Investing in capabilities to build a strong local, full-service agency that will partner with our clients to help them achieve their goals,” concludes White.
