School Road Publishing has officially assumed responsibility for printing the June issue and overseeing content development starting from the July issue.
Konstantin Richter, the purchaser of the title after Bauer Media’s closure in 2020, sought a locally owned publishing house that would not only acknowledge the publication’s legacy but also possess the foresight to propel the brand into a new era of expansion and achievement.
“In the summer of 2020, my wife and I agreed to take on North & South,” says Richter. “We had incredibly talented people working for the magazine and we are proud of what we did over the past two-and-a-half years. But increasingly we felt it was time to move on. We’re happy that this iconic magazine, North & South, is now in the hands of a New Zealand publisher with an extensive network and the commercial acumen to take it to the next level.”
With access to the Waitapu Group’s resources through School Road, North & South is well positioned to grow the subscriber base, reach new audiences and build the brand’s digital and multi-media presence.
