Putting an end to ‘Dad Pants’

Dockers and Red Tettemer O’Connell + Partners are trying to put an end to the common fashion fail that is ‘Dad Pants’. This campaign was made to air around Father’s Day in the US in a hope that you would run out and grab a pair of Dockers for your embarrassing old man or significant other.

However, some are finding this new brand positioning a little controversial. Dockers are kind of known for their dad pants and probably started this trend in the first place. The whole point to them originally was that they were dead simple in every single way, Cut, colour and fit, which meant buying them was an easy and low effort choice for any man.

Anyway, the ads are a bit of a laugh and feature some notable American celebrities, such as Sarah Harbaugh and Jon Gruden.
