A pic for every day of the year: Getty calendar offers galleries for historic events
Getty Images has released an innovative calendar for 2014 that allocates specific galleries to every day of the year, thereby making it easier for website owners to update their sites with content (and imagery) relevant to a specific day. Although the calendar is largely focused on American history, it also features several galleries that could be incorporated on sites that have a broader international appeal.
The new initiative exhibits the sheer extent of Getty’s stockpile of images while simultaneously giving website owners prompts with regard to possible stories to cover on a given day.
