NZ Marketing puts call out to agency founders

In the upcoming June issue, NZ Marketing is shining a spotlight on the intrepid individuals who took the leap and founded their own agency.

“The special collector’s issue will be a who’s who of agency founders in Aotearoa,” says editor Penny Murray.

“Are you a founder? Tell us your story. Why did you start out – was it time to leave a big corporate behind? Did you spot a gap that nobody else had seen? Or perhaps it was a work/life thing. Let us know how that’s working out.”

Whether you’re working at the kitchen table or running offices in three countries, NZ Marketing wants to hear how it started and how it’s going.

This issue will be a celebration of the indies that are powering the New Zealand scene – and making waves overseas too.

“We know you’re out there and we know the journey you took to get here has twists and turns. We also know that agencies and their founders go through different stages,” says Murray.

NZ Marketing is keen to hear from all founders, but especially if you:

  • have started more than one agency
  • are still the founder, but have passed the day-to-day baton to someone else
  • have expanded overseas
  • merged with another agency or were acquired
