While many around the world watched in fear as Donald Trump was sworn in as president, The Netherlands—well it’s satirical news show Zondag met Lubach—decided it was best for both countries to get along, so it made an introductory video that speaks to Trump in his own language.
The “great” video lists all the things Trump would like about the country, including its dislike for the Spanish, the fact its spoken language is Dutch—”the best language in Europe”—and the great wall of Afsluidijk that protects it from all the Mexican water, before going on to show off the fact it built an entire ocean between itself and Mexico.
“This ocean is so big, you can even see it from the moon and we made the Mexicans pay for it,” the video brags.
It continues to list the offensive tradition of Black Pete, a disabled politician for Trump to make fun of and claims it has the best tax evasion system God ever created
But, after sucking up to Trump it does have a serious point to get across.
“If you screw NATO, you’re going to make our problems great again,” it warns, so it makes one last effort to be chummy with Trump:
“We totally understand it’s going to be America first, but can we just say The Netherlands second.”
