Dentsu Aegis Network’s With Collective and Isobar Australia have merged and global News Corp goes under fire for Climate Change denying.

Merging

Recently announced Dentsu Aegis Network’s With Collective and Isobar Australia have merged, seeing With Collective’s CEO and COO, Justin Hind and Dominique Hind respectively, exit the company.

As part of the deal, Collective will rebrand to Isobar Australia. The CEO role will remain with Erik Hallander, after his appointment in August. The New Zealand post of With Collective, lead by John Marshall will remain untouched.

“Bringing our businesses together continues to add scale and breadth to our offering,” says Hallander. “It will unite and optimise our complementary capabilities, and untap even greater opportunity for our clients and partners.”

Under fire

News Corp founder Rupert Murdoch has had to come out with an announcement that the company isn’t a climate change denier.

The question arose at the company’s annual general meeting as to why they give so much air-time to famous deniers Andrew Bolt and Terry McCrann.

Murdoch responded: “On climate change, we have reduced our carbon footprint by 25 percent six years ahead of schedule. We were the first North American media company to commit to science-based targets to limit climate change. We have reduced energy costs by [US]$18m since fiscal ’14. Global paper policy to ensure 100 percent of publication paper is sourced from certified sustainable material. And print centres have achieved 96% diversion from brown fields as part of our zero-waste goal. There are no climate change deniers around, I can assure you.”
