To infinity with AT&T

A sense of humour isn’t the first thing you associate with a telecommunications company, but AT&T has shown a bit of brand personality with its recent parody of a scene from the hit SoHo-screened drama True Detective. In the series scene, Matthew McConaughey’s character Rust Cohle is shown recounting a missing children mystery to detectives, complete with a drawl, a cigarette and a faraway look.

Transplant the scene to a kindergarten and it’s a very strange environment indeed, but that’s what AT&T’s parody does. At least they’ve made it more kid-friendly by giving actor Ross Marquand a juice box instead of a cigarette.
