FCB elevates Blair Alexander to media managing director

FCB has announced Blair Alexander will step into the role of media managing director, taking over from Rufus Chuter, who spoke to StopPress about his decision to resign and where’s he’s going next.

Alexander has been promoted from his position as general manager of FCB Media and has worked at the company for nine years.

FCB New Zealand chief executive officer Dan Martin says Alexander is a top bloke.

“He’s liked and respected internally and externally. He has been a key driver of the incredibly positive, performance-focused culture of our media team. In addition, he has been central to some of our most innovative and successful work.”

Martin further comments that a quality agency is often shown through its bench strength and succession planning. He says the move offers continuity, stability and ever-improved performance to its clients.

Blair will lead the media team, alongside media head of strategy Anne Lipsham and the general manager of digital media Emily Isle.

Alexander says he is honoured to lead the team.

“And alongside the strong leadership team we already have, we’re restless to keep challenging and redefining what it means to be a media agency.”
