FCB, Department of Internal Affairs unveil new campaign

The Department of Internal Affairs and FCB New Zealand have launched the Three Waters Reform Programme public information and education campaign.

Sixty-seven different councils currently operate most drinking water, wastewater and stormwater services across New Zealand.

The reform programme is a transformational Government initiative that aims to provide better health, wellbeing and environmental outcomes for our communities for generations to come by changing the way these services are delivered.

FCB Managing Director Wellington, Sean Keaney says: “It’s no secret that our drinking water, wastewater and stormwater systems are under pressure and the opportunity to be involved with this important mahi is terrific – after all, who doesn’t want better water outcomes.”

The integrated campaign went live in June and features illustrated and animated TV, press, social and radio.

The Department’s campaign lead, Amanda Duncan says: “We are very pleased with the campaign that FCB New Zealand have developed.

“The creative execution cleverly reframes water services from a system that people take for granted to a system that requires a little more care and attention to allow it to thrive for the greater good of New Zealand.”

FCB was awarded the work after a competitive RFP process.
