A different kind of superhero

Not all superheroes wear spandex tights and possess other-worldly powers that defy the laws of physics. Some just have an inhuman capacity and willingness to help others. And these are the kinds of superheroes that are honoured in a new spot by creative agency Don’t Panic and Unit 9 directors Greg Hardes and Jacob Proud for not-for-profit organisation Save the Children.

Over the course of the one-minute clip, a faux documentary crew visits a variety of different countries, where children tell tales of heroes who brought water, made the maize grow miraculously and killed all the mosquitoes.

Seeing the children tell these tales in the setting of their respective homes brings a visceral truth to the campaign and gives viewers a sense of what a difference the organisation makes to the lives of those in the most difficult circumstances.
