Did Fedex just put the worst Kiwi accent ever in an ad?

New Zealand makes an appearance in a Fedex campaign released earlier this month—and the result isn’t all that pretty.

The ad starts in a small business in the US with a couple talking about all the places to which they are sending their goofy glasses.

Canada and Ireland are both mentioned, before one of the protagonists mentions New Zealand.

From here, we’re taken to what is supposed to be the Kiwi wilderness, where two hunters are on the lookout for deer. And what we get next is without a doubt the worst Kiwi accent you’re likely to hear for a long time.

On the bright side, at least the ad shows that our conservation efforts are going well (regardless of how unconventional they might be).
