Talk about warm-fuzzies: DDB and The Warehouse release teddybear campaign

DDB and The Warehouse have teamed up to bring a heartwarming campaign to our screens. Dedicated to the nationwide bear hunt that has kept children entertained throughout the lockdown, the campaign ‘Teddy’ reinforced how connected New Zealand truly is.

The campaign was initiated and shot by two filmmakers who used their initiative to create a video from home. In light of the joy that the teddy hunt has brought to people, the spot follows a teddy sitting alone on its windowsill, gazing blankly outside, when suddenly it spots other teddies in neighbouring windows and they all begin to wave at one another.

Ending with ‘stay safe, we can’t wait to see you again’ the campaign is an uplifting message that is bound to keep Kiwi’s hopeful for the future.

“The teddy bear has become a symbol of togetherness for Kiwis. The film is simple in its messaging, stay hopeful, stay safe we can’t wait to see you again,” says The Warehouse’s general manager of marketing, Anna Lawrence.

“The power of creative execution is important as we become acquainted to these strange times. This spot proves that creativity is adaptable and can be unleashed in the most limited circumstances,” adds DDB regional chief creative officer, Damon Stapelton.
