Countdown inspires action via M&C Saatchi

With the aim of inspiring Kiwis to create a better tomorrow, Countdown has launched its brand new campaign ‘Little Things’, created by M&C Saatchi.

The campaign showcases that the goal of creating a better world can seem quite a formidable mountain to climb, unless you break it down into individual steps, making the impossible a lot more achievable.

Countdown is putting this into action by making small changes with big impact. These changes include partnering with Kiwi Harvest to reduce food waste, installing solar panels in its stores to reduce the impact of climate change, and inspiring and educating the next generation by awarding groups of people with financial support as part of its Growing For Good programme.

Countdown is also working with Wilcox and the local Iwi to leave the land better than when they found it.

“This is about all of us being in it together. No fanfare, no bluster, no heroes, no White Knights. Just everyday people, both inside and outside Countdown, humbly doing the little, everyday things they can, from one day to the next,” says Paul Hankinson, M&C Saatchi ECD.

Brid Drohan-Stewart, Director, Brand at Countdown, says Countdown is part of every community in New Zealand, and “together we can make a difference for the future of New Zealand”.

“I am incredibly proud of the collaboration with M&C Saatchi, our team and our partners who – by working with us – all took their little steps for a better New Zealand.”

‘Little Things’ will run on TV and BVOD as 45”, 30” and 15” & 6” on YouTube.
