Comms Council announces Pressie Award Winners

Hosted at NZME’s iHeart Lounge, this year’s Pressie Awards celebrated winners across 12 distinct categories along with awarding the Grand Prix award.

The top prize went to TBWA\Eleven and Fuse\OMD for their campaign with 2degrees for the Super Rugby Aupiki – which saw the final match live-streamed on TikTok.

Cee Fitton of GroupM New Zealand received the Young Practitioner of the Year award, whereas Māia won two golds in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion category for its work with Rare Disorders NZ, and Tāmaki Regeneration Company.

Angela Spain, this year’s Convenor of judges, shared her thoughts saying, “Huge congratulations to the winners. The entries this year again prove the positive impact PR, experiential, and social media experts can have across all types of organisations in Aotearoa.

“From helping not for profits, to driving sales for FMCG through to epic collaborations to boost brands – it’s great to see the breadth of activity working hard to create results. A special shout out to the Young Practitioner of the Year – great to see amazing talent making an impact.”

The 2024 Pressie Awards, presented by the Commercial Communications Council (Comms Council), would not be possible without the generous support of sponsors NZME, Telum Media, The Spinoff and Smile Dealers. A special mention goes out to beverage partners Pals, Yealands wine, Asahi and Somersby Cider for providing a selection of refreshments on the night.

The Comms Council warmly congratulates all finalists and winners for their exceptional campaigns recognised at this year’s Pressie Awards.
