Fresh from winning more Caples metal than any other agency in the world over the weekend, Colenso BBDO followed that up by winning Campaign Asia Pacific’s New Zealand creative agency of the year award ahead of DDB Group and DraftFCB, with creative chairman Nick Worthington named as the Australasian region’s best creative director. DDB Group also backed up a good year on the awards front, with Rapp/Tribal winning digital agency of the year ahead of Colenso BBDO and TBWA\DAN, while Spark PHD was rewarded for an impressive year with the media agency of the year title, ahead of Naked and OMD.

In the Caples, which honour the best direct and interactive marketing campaigns from around the world, Colenso BBDO won four golds, five silvers and four bronze awards, with DB Export, Monteith’s, Pedigree, The V Motion Project and State awarded (see below for full list). That made it the top ranked agency at the awards and it was also the best performance by a New Zealand agency at the Caples Awards to date

The 2012 Big Won Report also recognised his creative leadership earlier in the year ranking him the world’s number one creative director.

Eleven PR followed up its win in the Mumbrella Awards to be named PR agency of the year across Australia/New Zealand, and managing partner Kelly Bennett says it is very much a trans-Tasman win.
“We established Eleven PR in New Zealand six years ago, and our Australian office is not even two years old so we’re over the moon about the win,” says Bennett. “Rob Lowe and the team in Sydney have had a phenomenal year, taking out a number of prestigious awards. This is testament to our commitment to deliver collaborative and groundbreaking PR campaigns for our clients. We’ve been working hard to build the Eleven PR brand on both sides of the Tasman and, following the recent establishment of our offer in Singapore, are poised to expand even further into Asia in 2013.”
