Cellphones off limits

Last week we told you how Coke was touting the kind of device vets put on dogs’ head to stop them biting their stitches as a way to stop us using social media and actually talk to eachother. Now a Brazillian agency is tackling a similar problem in a very different way for beer maker Polar.

It proposes a nullifier in the guise of a beer cooler to block all the ways your phone communicates with the net, the network and other devices, like 3G, 4G, wifi and GSM. That forces poor drinkers at the bar to look up and socialise. Apparently everyone liked and shared the idea, but we’ll leave that to you to test next time you’re out drinking.
