Calling the country’s Next Level marketers: Entries now open for the 2020 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards

Today the TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards partners, NZ Marketing magazine, StopPress and Marketing Association (MA) officially opened the call for entries to the 2020 Awards.

Now in their 29th year, the Awards exist to celebrate the collective excellence in creative and strategic thinking that goes into award-winning marketing. Entries are open to everyone and are easy to submit.

“Playing on the basic videogame premise of levelling up, we are looking for entries that show the perfect combination of bold moves, strategic plays and integrated thinking that takes your marketing to the Next Level,” says David Nothling-Demmer, editor of NZ Marketing Magazine.

The 32 Awards made up of 31 categories are split into three divisions: Sector Awards, Excellence Awards and Individual Awards.

The Sector Awards recognise the best-in-breed marketing within specific industry categories while the Excellence Awards recognise excellence in specific marketing disciplines across different industries.

Just as the marketing industry keeps evolving, so too do the awards and this year two new sector awards have been added for Agriculture and Education, while The Rookie Marketer of the Year Award has been renamed to the Young Marketer of the Year Award.

“This year has been unlike any experienced by our industry, and we are looking forward to seeing what everyone has been up to over the last year and celebrating the talent, tenacity and creativity of our industry,” says John Miles, chief executive, Marketing Association.

Nominations for inductees into the Marketing Hall of Fame are also sought from the industry and they will join the likes of Peter Cullinane, Rob Fyfe, Joan Withers, Kevin Bowler and Philip Poole.

There has been an overwhelmingly positive response to from the Awards’ partners and sponsors who are committed to its continued success despite the challenges faced by many due to the Covid-19 pandemic. To show their support to marketers during these uncertain times a 10% discount has been applied to early entries.

Once again, TVNZ are Premier sponsor, with Category sponsors NZME, oOh! Media and The Radio Bureau.

Entries close Friday 5 June 2020 at 5pm.
