Adshel’s Creative Challenge back for a third season, as call for agency brains goes out

Adshel has once again joined forces with Surf Life Saving New Zealand for the annual Creative Challenge, which gives competing teams just one hour to develop a concept in response to the brief given on the night and is now in its third year. And it’s calling on agencies to put their names in the hat.

The event, to be held on Thursday 3 October at Generator in Britomart, will not only encourage creativity with the out-of-home medium, but also deliver a creative concept for a $75,000 Adshel campaign to support the fundraising efforts for the Surf Life Saving’s summer appeal, National Jandal Day.

Registrations are now open for advertising and marketing professionals to scribble, chat, feast, have a few beverages and, most importantly, devise a solid outdoor campaign, so sign up here. Agencies can register up to four teams with a maximum of four representatives per team, but you best be quick, because spaces are limited.

Adshel are also offering Wellington teams entry to the competition, with the cost of flights covered for the first two teams to enter.

The winning concept will be judged on the night by a panel of industry experts and the winning agency then has the opportunity to develop the campaign in conjunction with Surf Life Saving and Adshel.

Aside from the glory, the assistance you could be giving to a very worthy cause and the sweet Adshel Creative Challenge trophy, the winning creative team will also win a trip to Wellington on 18/19 October with tickets to Semi-Permanent 2013 and a slap up meal at one of Welly’s top restaurants.

“We are really excited to be partnering once again with Surf Life Saving for our Creative Challenge,” says Angela McDougall, Adshel’s marketing manager. “The event was such a huge success last year and the level of creativity seen on the night is a testament to the amazing talent we have here in New Zealand. This year’s brief will encourage the use of Adshel’s new Connect products that incorporate engaging mobile technologies but the winning brief will ultimately be the one that creates the greatest standout for Surf Life Saving to help drive its fundraising efforts. We can’t wait to see the creative concepts that the teams come up with for this year’s brief – it’s going to be a fun night.”

Date: Thursday 3 October
