2025 Axis Awards winners announced
Last night, the 45th Axis Awards were held at the Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland, and the industry gathered to recognise and acknowledge outstanding creative campaigns from the past 12 months.
Following a two-month entry period and numerous rounds of judging by industry experts, the Commercial Communications Council awarded 84 Bronze, 62 Silver, 30 Gold and three Grand Prix’s along with winners across the Special Awards categories.
Beautiful craft
Gary Steele, this year’s convenor of judges, says, “Axis is about celebrating creativity that makes you jealous and this year was no different. The winning entries did just that through their smart thinking and beautiful craft, and I’m sure when you see them, you will be as jealous as I was.”
Colenso BBDO received a hefty one third of the awarded Golds, with its Cannes Lions-winning campaigns Adoptable and Meowzer among those recognised. Adoptable also took home two Axis Grand Prix awards for Innovation in out of home and Tech driven creative. It was also awarded the Grand Axis of the night and Colenso was named Agency of the Year.
Special Group won six Golds, with four going to its Export Ultra Cold Call Back Service featuring ’90s rapper Vanilla Ice. This campaign also saw them take home a Grand Prix award for Brand Experience and Activation – Integrated Campaign.
