MediaWorks appoints Barry Sadlier as CFO

Barry Sadlier has been appointed to the role of MediaWorks chief financial officer, effective immediately. He has been the acting CFO since January this year.

Sadlier joined the company in 2017 as group financial controller and stepped into the acting CFO role when former financial officer Ciara McGuigan moved to TVNZ early this year.

To the role, Sadlier brings over 20 years' experience in the media industry, including senior finance and change management roles at Stuff and NZME. He's also worked for BBC and Reuters in London.

He remains a director of Bravo TV New Zealand Limited.

MediaWorks CEO Michael Anderson says Sadlier is an integral part of the team and a natural fit for the role.

"His knowledge of the media industry coupled with his leadership expertise makes him a great asset to our team."
