Woolworths NZ appoints Oliver Lynch as CustomerX director

Woolworths New Zealand has appointed Oliver Lynch, who joins from US-based tech firm Capital Preferences, as CustomerX director.

Lynch has a 25-year career in marketing and digital innovation, including senior leadership roles at Westpac NZ and various advertising agencies across New Zealand, Australia and the UK.

In his new role, he will lead the integration of brand and marketing, Everyday Rewards, Cartology and customer insights.

Customer focus

On the appointment, Lynch says: “It’s an absolute privilege to lead the CustomerX team and focus on what matters most – the kiwi customers we serve.

“I’m looking forward to bringing our loyalty, media, brand and insights together to make life even easier for our customers.”

Sally Copland, Woolworths NZ managing director, is delighted to have Lynch join the executive leadership team.

“Oliver has incredible experience in digital innovation and a unique way of making the complex simple.

“We’ve got some exciting plans ahead of us and I know Oliver is looking forward to diving in and making a meaningful impact for our customers.”
