Superstar sports photographer Devon Krige joins Film Construction

Film Construction is delighted to add world-class photographer Devon Krige to their roster of photographic talent.

Krige brings a unique approach to commercial photography with a stunning action and lifestyle portfolio. He has a wealth of experience and is an exciting new voice in the region.

Hailing from South Africa, Krige brings a lively, rich portfolio of imagery to Australasia. He boasts work with tennis stars like Novak Djokovic, Steve Johnson and Alex De Minaur. Brands like Asics, Adidas, New Balance, and Lexus lean on him regularly for their striking imagery. His ability to blend creativity with commercial appeal has made him a sought-after talent in the industry. As a South African, he has, of course, also shot the mighty Springboks for their World Cup campaign.

What sets Krige apart is his unique approach to photography. He believes in the power of imperfection and sees beauty in the unexpected. His work often captures raw, unexpected, and utterly authentic moments.

“Perfection is boring”, says Krige, “I’m always on the lookout for that unguarded, fresh moment that bursts with originality.”

Executive Producer Belinda Bradley expresses her excitement about Devon joining the Film Construction family: “Devon’s portfolio showcases a rare blend of humour, action and character. His refusal to be pigeonholed as a one-dimensional photographer aligns perfectly with our production ethos of challenging conventions. We are thrilled to have him on board and look forward to collaborating on innovative projects.”

Krige’s accomplishments in sports and action are obvious. Look deeper, and you see his commitment to shooting a diverse range of subjects. Capturing the intricacies and complexities of each moment makes him a versatile image maker.

His approach to photography is a testament to his commitment to pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo. Excited to be calling New Zealand home, Krige can’t wait to work on Antipodean campaigns.

“We look forward to the creative collaborations that will unfold,” says Bradley.
