Nick Harvey has joined Plato Creative as a Partner, adding 18 years of international advertising experience and problem solving firepower to the independent Christchurch agency’s line up of talent.
Harvey joins from Strategy Christchurch where he was Managing Partner and worked with some of South Island’s biggest businesses and most iconic brands over the last five years. Prior to this Harvey had spent 12 years working for the BBDO network at Clemenger Melbourne, Traffik Experiential, and Colenso BBDO.
Harvey will partner with Plato Creative’s CEO John Plato, and the Plato executive leadership team, with the aim of driving better commercial value for their client partners through creativity.
“Nick is a great fit for Plato Creative. He is one of the good guys and well recognised as a passionate and progressive leader with one eye on solving problems through creativity and the other on creating productive, energy filled environments which are conducive to developing outstanding creative and strategic work. His approach is simple and transparent and most importantly, he’s driven to consistently deliver for his clients.
“By joining our team, Nick reinforces our commitment to ‘client-first’ outcomes and providing innovative, integrated solutions from our combination of creative, digital media, and partnership offerings, to unlock real sustainable advantages for our clients.
“We are committed to supporting our current and future clients to evolve their business strategies to ensure deeper connectivity with their customers, society and the changes required for them to be more responsive and adaptive. Nick will add immense value in this pursuit,” says Plato.
Harvey says: “As I got to know John and the team it became clear they’re a progressive agency that’s looking to the future. Whether it be a big organising brand idea, a creative media solution with customers, or digital and tech-driven ideas – Plato Creative is focused on providing the most compelling customer experiences.
“I’ve always believed that great ideas can come from anywhere and that’s what inspires agencies to work well together each day. What’s inspiring to clients is the ability to anchor those ideas in a strong strategy that makes commercial sense. Bringing all the parts together to make a difference with the team at Plato is what I’m most excited about.”
