Best of the bunch
Lucy Wilson has joined the ranks within ANZ, moving to the role of regional director of human resources. VMLY&R announced that Wilson will be heading the role across its Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington campuses.
Wilson has started her new position immediately, and will report directly to CEO of ANZ, Jon Bird.
Bird said Wilson’s appointment was key at a time when attracting and retaining the best talent had never been so important. “This business is purely about people, which is why Lucy is such a critical hire. Lucy is a natural born leader with a phenomenal ability to create and deliver unique people and culture strategies. We are incredibly excited to have her on board and take advantage of her results-focussed mindset and her genuine love for creating meaningful employee experiences.”
Wilson will also work closely with VMLY&R’s US-based Global Executive Director, Human Resources, Ronnie Felder who said: “In Lucy we know we have found the best qualified person to bring together the strengths of our very talented ANZ team and align to our our global people and culture strategy.”
DDB Group’s newest agency Tribal has its first major hire, Danica Paki who joins as the new business lead. Coming from Isobar as head of client services and having previous roles at Young&Shand and Satellite Media.
The new Tribal is headed by Liz Knox, James Blair and Haydn Kerr. “We’re very excited to have Danica onboard,” says James. “Already she’s brought valuable strategic perspective to what we are trying to achieve and I know our clients will appreciate her clear thinking and ambitious commitment to driving growth for their businesses through innovative digital solutions.”
For her part, Danica says she’s already enjoying getting stuck into the work at Tribal and getting to know her new team.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the Tribal team,” says Danica. “Working alongside Haydn, Liz and James was a hugely appealing opportunity. I’ve had great admiration for the work they’ve delivered as part of DDB, and I know Tribal is going to push the boundaries even further.”
Two at the front line
The Business Marketing Group has welcomed in two new hires in the form of Oliver Garside and Chloe Lim. Garside is taking up the role of social media manager, whereas Lim brings in a wealth of agency experience having worked for global advertising agencies.
Both new hires bring a slew of experience working alongside some of our most trust local and international brands.
