Marsden Inch has confirmed Barry Williamson is joining the communications industry recruiters as an associate. Williamson will continue to specialise in media placements across agency, media owner and client-side roles.
Williamson had recently stood down from his role as senior media consultant at 3rdeye recruitment – where he had been in the role since 2014.
He says the move makes sense for his career.

Williamson has had a high-profile career in advertising and media agencies, and consultancy activity with clients, agencies, media owners and research companies.
He has been recognised by the industry for numerous contributions to the Comms Council (formerly CAANZ), including his work on the media committee and for establishing and conducting the original CAANZ Media School. He is currently chairperson on the Industry Research Group that oversees the Nielsen CMI media research service. In addition to his senior media and management roles, he has worked as an account director and marketing manager, managing a wide range of brand categories in integrated agencies, gaining a strong marketing bias to his work.

Kiwibank has appointed Nick Boulstridge as its new head of digital and media effectiveness. Boulstridge joins the bank from his previous role as digital media director at BNZ.

Boulstridge will report to Hofmann in his new role and will also continue to be the chair of the Brand Steering Council at the Interactive Advertising Bureau of New Zealand (IABNZ).
He says he’s looking forward to getting stuck into his new role.

Kiwibank is continuing its relationship with media partner OMD and is currently undertaking a review of its creative model as reported in late 2018.
Taking the lead
Sling & Stone has announced the appointment of Sian Church to the role of associate director.
In the role she will be heading up local operations.
Church was previously working at Pead PR where she led the technology, entertainment and corporate team. Prior to that, she spent five years in the UK, working at London based agencies, Brands2life and Chameleon.
