Ash Prier to take the reigns as Creative Director at Wrestler

Wellington-based creative agency Wrestler has appointed Ash Prier as its new Creative Director this month.

Prier will lead creative direction across Wrestler’s diverse range of global and local clients and projects, including Allbirds, Niantic, Education NZ, New Zealand Police and many more.

Wrestler CEO Ben Forman says he is really excited to welcome Ash to the Wrestler whānau.

“As an agency built for today’s world, we tell stories with positive cultural impact through creative and technical innovation. Ash’s expertise and creative calibre will further develop this direction for Wrestler and continue to uphold our reputation as an ethical creative partner,” says Forman.

Prier was previously the Art Director of Les Mills international, leading the design team over global offices and directing international shoots.

A multidisciplinary practitioner with a career of more than a decade, Prier has worked with brands including Nike, Les Mills International, Reebok, Max and Barkers, across the USA, United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Leveraging her art direction background with a strong strategic mind, Prier creates narratives and meaningful experiences that connect humans with brands and help to challenge perspectives, empower audiences and create fans.

Forman says Prier was a natural fit for Wrestler.

“With Ash’s desire to incorporate social and environmental responsibility into her work and lead the way in this in the industry, she aligned well with Wrestler’s approach,” he says.

Prier says she’s thrilled to join Wrestler.

“Wrestler is an agency made up of people who are harnessing the power of creativity for good. I look forward to being a part of the impact our clients make in partnership with Wrestler and to contributing to the community in Pōneke and beyond.”
