New mental health technology helps TikTok users
 
 

A new local charity, which has been funded by the Melinda Gates Foundation, is aiming to help social media users access mental health services more easily.  As well as partnering with TikTok, Live For Tomorrow will offer a database of over 1,600 mental health helplines and a more user-friendly online interface embedded on media websites under articles which may cause distress.  The technology is designed to help reduce the time it takes for users to select and contact a suitable mental health helpline.    Elliot Taylor,
