Cossette has an amusing new approach to creating engaging adverts.
In an online video, the chief creative officers explain how tightening deadlines and budgets have led the agency to find a one-size-fits-all approach to advertising.
The bleak result is a TVC in which a wife and husband sit on opposite ends of their couch and find the solution to a bad Monday in whatever product needs to be sold.
"Someone's got a case of the Mondays," says the wife.
"It's not Monday it's these damn printer cartridges/ weak bones/ you're cheating one me," says the husband in several different scenarios.
"Sounds like you could use a HP laser ink printer/ calcium milk/ a new wife," she replies, equally as deadpan.
There are some pretty interesting products that can be marketed this way, all that's needed is some clever camera angles and a pillow over the husband's mouth to mask the new lines—in terrible computer voices.
The clip was made for an Agency of the Year event, which has a tradition of poking fun at the industry with videos.
