Whittaker’s serves up scrumptious support for the All Blacks

Whittaker’s is getting in on the Lions Tour action by releasing ‘The Full Eighty’—a new chocolate flavour that pays tribute to the staying-power of the All Blacks.

The limited edition chocolate combines Whittaker’s chocolate with banana, cranberry, peanuts and protein puffs, which according to an announcement video by Assignment Group, have been combined to make a great series.

The tongue-in-cheek video features a Whittaker’s selector talking-up each of the ingredients as they appear on the screen. The selector talks about cranberry putting on a mouthwatering display this year before mentioning how the banana hasn’t slipped up all year either.

Whittaker’s marketing manager Holly Whittaker, says Whittaker’s is delighted to now be an official supporter of the All Blacks, building on an existing relationship since the 2015 Rugby World Cup, when its peanut slab donned black to show support for the All Blacks’ quest for glory.

This year, it’s gone for an entirely new flavour and packaged it in distinctive black, white and silver to match the national sporting colours.

“As a proud New Zealand company, we’re big supporters of the All Blacks and New Zealand Rugby and share their passion for the game,” says Whittaker.

“We know that the players and their loyal fans always give their heart and soul for the entire eighty minutes of a game, which led to not only the name but also to the creation of a whole new flavour combination.”

The chocolate comes in a range of sizes for fans to treat themselves or share, with 250g blocks, mini slabs and 50g slabs It will hit shelves nationwide on 29 May.
