Sky secures expanded England and Wales Cricket rights

Sky has announced a new multi-year agreement with the England and Wales Cricket Board, commencing with the White Ferns May tour and Blackcaps June tour of England.

Under the agreement, Sky will be the exclusive New Zealand broadcaster of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Home International and Domestic cricket from 2026 through to 2030, covering men’s and women’s matches played in England and Wales.

Partnership offerings

Sky’s partnership with the ECB delivers a consistent schedule of international cricket for audiences during the Southern Hemisphere offseason, headlined by high-profile tours involving New Zealand, Australia and India.

The package includes a number of marquee international tours featuring the world’s leading cricket nations, including:

  • White Ferns tour of England – May 2026
  • Blackcaps tours of England – June 2026, 2027 and 2030
  • Australia Men’s tours of England – including the 2027 Ashes series, 2028
  • India Men’s tours of England – July 2026, 2028 and 2029
  • As part of the agreement, Sky will deliver comprehensive coverage of:
    • ECB Home Internationals (Men’s and Women’s) from 2026 to 2030
    • ECB Domestic Competitions (Men’s and Women’s) from 2026 to 2030

The home of cricket

Sky will also broadcast the one-off test match between Ireland and the Blackcaps in 2026.

Sky head of sport content Gary Burchett says: “This agreement with the ECB is a key part of our long-term commitment to bringing the very best international cricket to New Zealand audiences. ECB cricket delivers global relevance, high-quality matchups and coverage and lands perfectly in a key window of our calendar.

“There’s a genuine appetite for it here, especially with a Kiwi, Brendon McCullum, shaping the England Men’s side. It’s a win for fans and another step in reinforcing Sky Sport as the home of cricket in Aotearoa.”
