Samsung gives Galaxy Note 3 and Gear Royal treatment with strange take on Lorde hit

Samsung has given Lorde’s hit Royals its ad debut in a new TVC for the recently-released Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch. It’s hard to tell how they’ve interpreted the song, but it seems homeless children have been freed to “live that fantasy” or get the “different kind of buzz” they crave when footballer Lionel Messi uses the Samsung tech to blow up a building and create a soccer pitch.

In its description, Samsung says the musical short film – The Developer is a “dramatic retelling of actual projects completed by the Messi Foundation”.
